Napoleon and Chick-Lit?
A few days ago an article appeared in the Globe And Mail and was pointed out to me by Ingrid of Fashion is My Muse.
Apparently Bonaparte had started writing a novella while he was still a young soldier (before Josephine). An ‘unfinished tale of a brilliant young soldier who loves tumultuously, loses, and dies in battle “pierced by a thousand blows”’.
When Napoleon was in exile, the pages of this manuscript were dispersed as souvenirs and are now part of private and public collections around the world. Fragments of this lost story have been recollected- about 40 pages- and pieced together. The novella will be out this autumn in the UK. It's entitled: Clisson and Eugenie.

?! Wow!
Oh, how funny! So, Napoleon had also his "weaknesses". I would love to read it! :D
Sounds very passionate and dramatic, like Napoleon himself!
It would be great to get my hands on this one.
Interesting! Well we already know he was a good writer from the letter you posted before!
Hi Lucy,
I hope we'll be able to get this book in Canada - otherwise you and I might have to make a trip to the UK!
?! Wow!
