It was a five part mini-series in French, so yes, it's foreign. It came out in 2003 I believe. Because I'm in Quebec, I got to see it first in French, but I have the DVD series in English. The acting is excellent and Isabella portrays Josephine beautifully.

What a stunning clip. I am mesmerized by seeing the beautiful costumes in action. So often I only see still images of historical fashion. Thank you for posting this. It made my day!
Hi Ingrid, I'm happy to have made your day. To be honest with you, the whole movie is perfectly detailed from costume, to scenery, jewlry... Check the comment I wrote right above yours-I posted another youtubelink (so you can revel in more costumes;-)
But that was a beautiful movie! If it wa any other couple I would have thought, "Oh fast-forwrd this, I hate seeing people snog it's revolting" but I didn't on this one, it was so nice seeing them all happy, and I know they're only actors, but Isabella was amazing! And that's my first name as well! And when Josepine was all weepy at the end I was crying too because she made it come to life like nobody else. I love the cursiv script, thanks a billion!

Very nostalgic music...
Yes, it's Sarah Brightman, she's wonderful. And the lyrics are so right for the clip, as well.
Excellent! Is it a foreign film?
Is this out now? I must see it! Isabella Rossallini is so incredible beautiful and looks like a great Josephine!
