A Violet 'Altesse'

She is finally done! Been so busy- I just haven't had time to post this. I love the way she turned out- I think purple hair is just fabulous for this type of whimsical princess.

She turned out way better than this photo shows...The self-leveling glaze gives it a bit of a 'crackle' look , which I'm not sure I particularly like here.  Also, the sparkly texture is not fairly represented with the colours appearing slightly faded, but all in all, I really like her (despite my complaining!)

This is what I began with..

I think she looks beautiful! Purple hair is perfect....but then I love purple anytime, anywhere.

Hi Lucy,
She is lovely! I too am often disappointed how my artwork gets translated by the camera and/or scanner. It is a tricky business to have it look as good as it does in real life and I don't always have the patience or time for that.

Hi Lucy, thanks so much for coming over to my blog and your kind comments. Your princess is gorgeous, and I think she looks great from the photo--so I would love to see her in person!
