Josephine's Wardrobe...Takes my breath away...

It’s been awhile since I’ve posted about my muse. So, today when I visited one of my favourite France related blogs: Kill Them All-God Will Know His Own, hosted by my good friend Melanie, I skimmed through to one of my favourite posts of hers on Josephine...

I have to tell you, but it’s no secret-that Jo-Jo had unbeatable taste. In terms of royalty, I suppose the only one that matched her flair on this subject was Marie-Antoinette, for sure. The elegance and supreme chic of Josephine’s wardrobe is simply to die for.

A trip to Malmaison is tentatively in the makings for next year...When and if I go, I am sure to be blown away. Melanie says that there is still an array of gowns kept in mint condition –that alone would be worth the trip for me. I simply adore this Empress’ taste. Take a look...

What exquisite work on these dresses and mantles. It is hard to imagine the amount of time and effort involved in making them.
